Your first open home: what to bring

Have your application ready before you walk in, and know what to check in fifteen minutes.

Open homes usually run for fifteen minutes and can be busy. Arrive on time, sign in with the agent and bring photo ID.

Check water pressure, phone reception, storage and the condition of windows and doors. Take photos for your own notes.

Apply the same day if you like the place. Applications made within a few hours tend to be reviewed first.
